Inspired by the spirit of agriculture that first brought the city of Healdsburg to life in the 19th century, the Healdsburg Community Garden is certainly an attraction worth visiting. This community garden is unique because each of the plots within the garden are rented out to members of the community each year. You can tour the Healdsburg Community Garden and see flowers that were planned out, planted, tended, and cared for by people who live in Healdsburg. The Healdsburg Community Garden also has a large common meeting area, one or two elevated beds for viewing by the physically handicapped, a compost area, a tool storage shed, and classroom lectures and demonstrations by Master Gardeners. Healdsburg Museum

The Healdsburg Museum was founded in 1976, and has been thriving and changing ever since. This museum is a display of artifacts and exhibits about the history of northern Sonoma County, with several permanent and changing exhibits. The permanent exhibits include information and artifacts from several different aspects of the local history, including Southern Pomo and Western Wappo Native American Tribes, the Mexican Rancho period of the area, the founding and growth of the area, agricultural products which include hops, prunes and grapes, local industries that built the city, local interests such as transportation, resorts, schools and sports, the Home Front which includes artifacts from during WWII and the Korean War, and the Russian River. There are also traveling exhibits that bring in artifacts and information from other museums.
