About Mark Stornetta —Your Sonoma County / Napa Valley Vineyards & Land Specialist
Hello, I am Mark Stornetta, a 35-year resident of Sonoma County. I am a successful team player with long-term community and personal relationships, real estate and financial expertise and proven negotiating and problem-solving abilities.
After earning my B.S. degree in agricultural business from Cal Poly, San Luis Obispo, I spent nine years as a farm credit loan officer and branch manager in Sonoma Valley, serving many local vineyard and winery businesses as a member of their management team and as a confidant. There I learned the importance of internal rates of return, assets accumulation, growth and return on investment.
Next, I joined Glen Ellen Winery as a general partner and chief financial officer, enjoying a eight-year “wonderful wild ride” as part of a dynamic, energetic family enterprise that created a whole new wine industry category, “fighting varietals.”
In 1994, I opened Stornetta & Associates, providing strategic planning and facilitating team efforts for performance and increased net income to 34 clients over a four-year period. In 1998, he became CFO and director of Vineburg LLC, where, along with the management team, repositioned a prominent wine brand and substantially increased direct sales.
In 2004, I earned my real estate broker’s license. While demonstrating excellent knowledge of the wine country residential market, I have also focused on my vast knowledge of vineyard, land and estate property sales. My wife, Pat, and I own a small Chardonnay vineyard. We have four children – Rob, Matt, Tim and Mia.
